Cookie Policy

How this site uses cookies and storage

Dial & Crown is a static editorial site with no advertising pixels, no social media embeds, no third-party scripts and no external font loading (the site uses your system font stack). At launch there is exactly one first-party storage record, described below.

The consent record

We store your consent choices in your own browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device.

  • Name: dc_consent_v1
  • Provider: first-party (dialandcrown.com)
  • Purpose: remembers your cookie consent choices so we do not ask you again on every visit
  • Category: Strictly Necessary
  • Contents: your category choices (Strictly Necessary, Analytics, Functional/Personalization, Advertising/Marketing) plus the timestamp of your decision
  • Duration: 12 months from your last choice, then it expires and we ask again
  • First or third party: first party; it is never transmitted to us or to any third party

There are no other first-party cookies and no third-party cookies at launch.

Categories in the consent panel

  • Strictly Necessary: required for the site to function. Only the consent record above. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: not deployed at launch. Any analytics tool would load here only, and only after your consent.
  • Functional/Personalization: no scripts in this category at launch.
  • Advertising/Marketing: no advertising runs on the site and nothing in this category at launch.

Your controls

On your first visit you are offered three equally accessible choices: Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or Manage Preferences. No optional category is preselected. Optional scripts are technically blocked from loading until you consent to their category.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC): a GPC opt-out signal from your browser is treated as a rejection of all non-essential categories.

You can revisit and change your choices at any time via the permanent Cookie Settings link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent stops future storage in that category; it does not retroactively remove data already processed while consent was active. You can also clear the consent record directly in your browser (clear site data / localStorage for this site).

Changes

If new storage or scripts are added (for example opt-in analytics), this policy and the consent panel will be updated before they go live.
