Documenting a collection well starts with seeing it well. The Macro 10x Mobile Lens II turns a recent smartphone into a close-focus instrument, resolving dial texture, bevelled hands and the grain of a case flank from under an inch away. The glass is hand-polished and multi-element, the barrel is aerospace-grade metal, and a removable diffuser hood evens out light while setting the correct working distance. It mounts with a twist to a Moment case or universal mount, which are sold separately. For collectors who photograph their own watches for insurance records, sale listings or simple appreciation, it is the most capable optical upgrade a phone can get.

Why selected

Most phone macro is software trickery; this is real glass, and the difference shows on a guilloche dial or a chamfered lug. It needs no power, no expertise and no shelf space, and Moment's lifetime warranty answers the durability question. We selected it because a publication's readers photograph their watches constantly, and this is the tool that makes those photographs worth keeping.
